Build an online academy
An online academy that makes knowledge scalable
A strong academy is more than a collection of courses in an LMS. Maxcademy helps organisations translate expert knowledge into a coherent digital learning landscape with learning paths, interactive content, multimedia, technology, and ongoing management.

An LMS is the platform. An academy is the learning product.
Technology alone does not create an academy where people enjoy learning.
An academy requires choices about target audience, curriculum, learning paths, content formats, certification, navigation, tone of voice, brand experience, management and the way new content is added.
Maxcademy combines Learning Design, content production and learning technology. This allows us to design both the learning content and the practical implementation as a whole.
LMS
Accounts, courses, access, progress, reporting, certificates and technical distribution.
Online academy
A recognisable learning environment with content, learning paths, formats, didactics, management and a clear reason to return.
When is an online academy the right solution?
Especially when learning is not a one-off project, but a structural part of your service, operation or knowledge strategy.
You train customers on your product or service
Make customer onboarding, product education, certification and release updates available without routing everything through consultants or support.
You want to sell or share expert knowledge at scale
Transform trainer expertise, subject knowledge or methodologies into learning paths that participants can follow independently or in a blended manner.
You have many separate trainings but no coherence yet
Organise modules, videos, documents and webinars into a logical curriculum structure with clear routes for each target group.
Different target groups need different learning paths
Employees, customers, partners or professionals do not need to learn the same things. An academy can separate roles and learning needs.
You want to scale internationally
With multilingual content and online distribution, knowledge becomes available without having to organise a separate training programme for each region.
Your learning content changes regularly
Design the academy modularly, so that individual components can be updated without rebuilding the entire programme.
From knowledge landscape to an academy that grows logically
We do not start by uploading as much content as possible. First, we determine who will use the academy, what problems it will solve, and what knowledge or skills each target group needs.
Then we design a learning architecture: for example, entry modules, role-oriented learning paths, microlearning, deepening, assessments, certification and recurring updates.
Maxcademy can then organise both the content production and the project management, technical implementation and further development.
1. Strategy & target audience
Why does the academy exist, who uses it and what result should it deliver?
2. Curriculum & learning paths
Structuring modules, roles, levels, order, certification and learning formats.
3. Content production
Developing scripts, e-learning, video, animation, quizzes, assignments and other learning assets.
4. Platform, launch & management
LMS setup, upload, QA, reporting, user onboarding and ongoing updates.
Different academies require a different learning strategy
The technology may be similar, but the commercial and pedagogical goals vary greatly by academy.
Customer academy
Onboarding, product knowledge, adoption, certification and support for customers.
Internal academy
Offering onboarding, compliance, processes, leadership and professional knowledge centrally.
Training business
Digitising expertise so that training can also be scalable without a live trainer.
Public knowledge academy
Making knowledge widely available for professionals, citizens or specific communities.
Partner academy
Partners consistently train on products, processes, sales and implementation.
Blended academy
Combining online modules with coaching, workshops, practical days or a community.
Your experts do not need to become e-learning creators themselves.
The substantive expertise is usually already within the organisation. The challenge is to extract that knowledge from heads, documents and existing training and convert it into a consistent academy.
Our Learning Designers interview Subject Matter Experts and delve into the subject matter to the level that the learner needs. This way we can ask the right questions, identify gaps and determine what does and does not belong in a learning path.
The expert validates the subject content. Maxcademy can then provide scripts, multimedia, modules, assessments, project management and implementation.
Expert knowledge as raw material
Interviews, manuals, presentations, webinars and existing training materials can all be the starting point.
Platform independent
Existing LMS, Maxcademy Learn or another suitable learning environment.
Do you already have an LMS? Then no new platform needs to be introduced.
Maxcademy provides Maxcademy Learn, a Moodle-based LMS with support for SCORM, xAPI and SSO among others. But our services remain platform independent.
We can build an academy in your existing learning environment, deliver content as SCORM/xAPI or provide independent advice on which LMS best fits the target audience, scale and management needs.
An academy is not a project that is finished after the launch
Products change. Legislation changes. Experts continue to learn. New target groups are added.
That is why we prefer to design academies in a modular and maintainable way. New modules can be added and existing components can be updated specifically without having to rebuild the entire curriculum.
Maxcademy can also remain involved after delivery with content updates, new learning paths, technical QA and expansion of the academy.
Designed to grow
Start with a strong core and expand when the need, target audience or organisation grows.
